We've seen in simulations a neural net be able to parse this sort of thing eventually. I recently saw something about scientists starting to create simulations to train robots so they can rapidly train neural network pathways to handle complex tasks under simulated real-world physics and capabilities. They can then plug that into a meat-space chassis, and after a brief calibration, it can already walk and chew bubble-gum, as it were.
