I would imagine that they typically aren't just loitering around waiting for a target. They would have identified a target (maybe a regular route, maybe caught on radar, maybe just spotters in the countryside) and then positioned the drone team ahead of the target along the assumed route.

That way they aren't wasting time just waiting and their drones teams can be used more flexibly.

The vast majority of their naval ships have been destroyed, they don't have a lot to lose when the other option is having no leverage against the US

look at early on in the Ukraine war, there were at least 1 or 2 very visible strikes against Russia that failed because Musk cut starlink for the Ukrainians.

That is honestly a really good with around. If you have the work of 1 full time employee and you split it between two, it makes it innately more expensive than what they were avoiding. Incentivizes them to just schedule like a normal person.

I've had similar gripes with minimum employee limits. Like if you have less than 50 woorers you dont have to give benefits.

Very similar to wealthy people who view fines as a simple fee. "You can park your car in front of a fire hydrant it just costs $X" rather than viewing it as indicating that behavior isn't allowed

they aren't israeli waters, legally speaking. Territorial control extends out from the land, they are Palestine's waters (extending from Gaza into the Med) The naval blockade is illegal.

What's more, it was actually <200yrds, more like 140 so more than 25% closer

I mean the shitty thing is that both are going to be around forever. Mine fields do something very well and that is deny an area to the enemy. Don't want your enemy to use this road? Or approach this town from this direction? Put a shit load of explosives in the way and no one is going to want to go there. So problem solved. Drones are great but minefields are sadly still going to be a thing

This is just incredibly wrong. If you're putting blame on voters AT ALL (yes even Trump voters) then you're missing the point of a democratic system. The purpose of a political campaign is to convince voters to support a politician, if you lose the election then you failed at that purpose. Full stop.

You can argue they were naive to trust the other side, or that they have priorities that you disagree with but at the end of the day it is the campaign's job to make their case.

Dog breeds are inherently dangerous just as some humans are inherently dangerous. Do you feel the same about certain humans that share common characteristics?

You are so right. I work at a LARGE ad agency. Basically making giant corps make more money. I am a socialist. I hate it and have so many misgivings about what I do, but similar work for good orgs just doesn't pay as much as I need to make so 🤷

Thats true but pursuing long term sustainable performance through positive public image and a well cared for workforce is equally responsible. What is better one time gain of $1000 or gaining $100 repeatedly indefinitely.

Wrong. There is no legal mandate to maximize return for shareholders. That is a lie peddled by jack welch and milton friedman. Companies have a fiduciary duty to their investors but long term sustainable profits are more responsible than immediate short term gains.

True but it was still an encumbrance, as seen at Agincourt
