I wouldn't be surprised for Anchorage AK, a lot of Philippine expats.
Not defending the CEO. Just making an observation that his kids, who I assume are innocent, lost a father and, just like any other kids, would feel devastated. They will see their fathers shooter be publicly applauded. Their circumstance is unfortunate, but I guess that's a burden that they'll have to carry. Sins of the father and all.
I get this guy is popular. And the Healthcare CEO sucks. But the CEO had a wife and kids. Imagine seeing the person who shot your dad, universally acclaimed.
Alaskan here - no, the Aleut languages aren't the most spoken. They actually have very few speakers. The most widely spoken native Alaskan languages are the Yupik, part of the "Eskaleut" family
The rejection hurt of course, lost like 20 lbs in a month. But
I had that happen when I was younger. I hardly knew her; she was just in my circle of acquaintances. Felt intense attraction for years but didn't do anything about it. Finally, I mustered the courage to open up about it. She politely declined. It felt like a weight off my chest, although I kept replaying that interaction in my head for years, how I could've done something different. I moved on, met someone else, got married etc. Now I look back at how silly it all was.

Pulled one out when I went halibut fishing in 2016. Thought I snagged seaweed or something, cuz it wasn't wriggling or anything. Was super shocking to see him surface with all the tentacles moving in the dark (night fishing). We let him loose and back in the water.

Also, saying that if given everything that one needs that ppl wouldn't turn to substance abuse is not correct in my anecdotal observations. Lots of rich kids given all the material wealth they could want - still got addicted to substances.

I wasn't popular or anything but had a circle of friends. And there were some good times, I miss having fewer responsibilities and things were simpler then. Also, the country seems to be in a worse place then it was back then. Maybe I'm just biased.
