The way I see it, the Ukrainian twitter people want you to laugh with them about their memes and I'm joining them in laughing at Russia.
Its also propping up their own morale, even when there's a gallows humor to many of the memes coming out.
Offering the chance to surrender means you don't have to kill units to the last man, and lets Ukraine keep the moral high ground.
I would not encourage stooping to that level; offering no quarter is a war crime and declaring it motivates conscripts to fight harder.
I would assume his bodyguards become conveniently deaf for several minutes while their boss is in a room by himself.
