It means you’re old, these were common household alarm clocks in the late 1900’s ;)

Did your parents teach you to ask that?

I thought of this scene right away lol. When you remove the lightheartedness of the show you realize how fucked up this was for the woman.

If their insurance covers their medication or not. This is all possible while still getting meager reimbursements for the prescriptions I dispense. Imagine what I could do if we got paid fairly. Yeah I’d like to make more money for myself, but my passion for patient care comes first and it always has.

I mean it’s not *all* about money, but I can’t stay in business and provide key services if PBM’s aren’t reimbursing us enough. Like how it’s not feasible for me to give vaccines anymore because the crap reimbursements for those. It’s important I make money so I can continue to offer services like free delivery for patients, because access to healthcare can be challenging. I also lower or get rid of copays for those who cannot afford it. I offer affordable cash prices for anyone regardless 1/2

That will actually lose us money, which is dispensing medication that patients need. An easy example are the GLP-1’s like Ozempic and Mounjaro. We have to put up $1,200 to $1,400 on a medication just to lose $50 to $100 dollars when those are both vitally important medications for type 2 diabetics, so many pharmacies are not even stocking the medication anymore. My independent pharmacy will not until that’s fixed.

I actually read the executive order because I’m a pharmacist and was curious if this was actually gonna benefit pharmacies and/or patients and to summarize it’s basically making administration leaders propose new ideas to cut costs of drugs in 6 to 12 months so it’s nothing concrete. The only redeeming quality of the executive order is the addressing of PBM’s tactics so hopefully pharmacies can start making money again. It’s absolutely insane that pharmacies provide a service 1/2

3. Or do an appeal to his insurance.

Without knowing all the details, everybody was at fault but the root evil of it all are the shitty insurance companies and PBM’s that control pricing of everything.

I hate this for three reasons:
1. The employees could have used Walgreens RxSavings Finder and gotten Wixela or Fluticasone/Salmeterol for a quarter or less of the alleged cost.
2. The patients lack of understanding of his insurance, the guy most likely had a deductible which is commonly known to reset every year. There needs to be more education about health insurance.
3. The patient seemingly did nothing on their end to get their own prescriber to do anything like switch meds or 1/2

They were pretty accurate even at longer ranges and if well maintained, they were very reliable pistols. They were also symbolic of the nazi regime, what better souvenir than the enemies weapon?

It’s much more regulated now, but I agree that the industry is still a bit shady and corrupt
