Some entity not to be understood.
Nothing wrong with that. I got into DnD because of CR though, and me and my players have all enjoyed the campaigns and enjoy playing with each other. We know our games don't have to be like Matt's and we have our own style of play. Just a matter of being comfortable with your own thing and still being able to enjoy another.

For me it's a time in my life where I lived near quiet dirt roads, had no worries, and was surrounded by patient kind people. I'm not there anymore, and I wish I was again. Maybe some day. Being overly critical of something that's subjective and means something different for everyone is kind of weird, but I'm glad you're doing fine. I hope you have little things like that that used to mean something to you and you hope for once more.

I don't care how they see themselves if they're bad. All that matters is I know how they are. I'm not going to hurt the people around me trying to hurt the bad ones on their own level. You do you though if you think that's acceptable.
I'm there with you with the cynicism. But I know it's not always healthy. These help me motivate myself to see and do some good. And if I can help some others then it's worth it. Thanks for being here.
That's why I tell people to attack the character, not the appearance. We have limited control over what we look like, but we can always choose to be good or bad.
