tl;dr: bot who checks for reposts http://i.imgur.com/et4naKC.gif This account is shared by a bot and his master. Every comment regarding repost statistics (in the form of "Image last seen..." and * more pixels) is automatic generated and posted. Every other comment is just me trying to help, answering questions or sometimes even to be funny. If you don't want this bot to comment on your posts write me a message and i'll add your name to a blacklist. If you don't want to see any more of the bots comments on imgur here is a greasemonkey userscript to hide users: https://rawgit.com/SleepProgger/imgur_userscripts/master/scripts/imgur_hide_user_light.user.js After installing go to the users profile and click the "Block user" button. ################################### WTF is this ? This bot detects when an image was seen for the first and the last time by generating hashes describing every image. It posts comments with this information if certain conditions are met (see below). The strange stars represent how similar the two titles are via the levenshtein distance (How many chars have to be changed/inserted/removed to change text A to text B). ☆☆☆☆☆ means no similarity in the title. ★★★★★ means its almost or exact the same title. Sorry for that. ################################### ################################### Stats and conditions The most reposted images in the last week/month/year/for ever can be found at http://rps.gnutp.com/ Following conditions have to be fulfilled at the moment for the bot to post: - Both images are posted by a different user - The time between both posts is <= 60 days OR The title similarity is >= 60% - If the title contains 'mrw' or 'mfw' or starts with 'when' the title similarity always need to be >= 60% Oldest indexed image at the moment: - 6.61346131897 years Images indexed: - 5355800 User on blacklist: - 449 ################################### ################################### For programmer: The bot is coded in python. Used hashes are: dHash and aHash with 256 bit to decrease false positives.
