It is taxed AT SALE in almost every country that I know of. What country are you from where they can tax an asset you hold?
How do you tax a non FIAT asset...? Explain that to me because I'm not American and that doesn't make sense. Are you telling me I would have to pay income tax based on the value of my home?
Unpopular opinion: you can't tax net worth. No fix until the loophole of borrowing money and using stocks as collateral is closed.

Moose aren't TERRIBLY dangerous as long as you've got a nice solid tree to keep between you and them. Bears are too agile for that to work.
Only the really big ones walk away from small cars hitting them. Any medium size vehicle will kill it.
I have to visit for work unfortunately and I'm debating having a sit down with my boss about it.
The only people that harp on it are people who dislike cars. They don't want to foot the bill to maintain mandatory infrastructure.
