If you're set on Linux, check out the steam play beta. There's only a hand full of games officially supported but quite a lot just work.

a 64 character password and 2fa, call it overprotective but when it comes to security i get a little paranoid

to lock things down and make it a non issue. and i get a bank statement sent to my email everyday, and my email is locked down with

yourself. i'm sure people that don't know any better get scammed left and right. but for those that take the time out of there day it's easy

i don't doubt it happens, i'm just saying that like with anything with sensitive information, there are steps you can take to secure

the thief would probably get to keep what he brought with my card but i'd get my money back so i'm really not that fussed.

i don't know how it works over the pond, but i get a text for every transaction i make so i could mark it as fraud when it happens.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

you mean you'd scan one of my one time keys from my unlocked phone, wait a few months and then it doesn't work because it expired?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

if they don't make a purchase, they see in there bank statement they did and can mark it as fraud but if they do they use my skimmer

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

buying the exact same thing at the same time at the same store without me seeing the double purchases. rather unlikely

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

it doesn't transmit any card details, just a one time code so they can only make one fake payment, and at the same i buy something

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i use my phone to pay for things as well so i have to unlock my phone to pay for things, even if they did manage to scan my phone

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

that doesn't stop the fact i'll get a text when i know i haven't make a purchase and can immediately mark it as fraud.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

at least with a card you can claim for fraud when you catch it
