She's our MSP! She rocks... not a massive fan of the SNP, but she's one of the good ones

Ah, but class war would fix a lot of the culture war issues... they go hand in hand in my book. Both are wars against inequality

My best friend is a shepherd, when outwith the summer months he is with the sheep up the mountains, he takes his dogs to little refresher sessions that he does with his other shepherd colleagues a few times a year. There may be instinct but you need to keep it sharp

From a frenchman, don't forget that in WW2, most of France bowed to the nazis and voted in Pétain, an authoritarian far-right dictator who collaborated fully with nazi Germany... Contrary to what the national myth became at the liberation, the Resistance was far from being a mass movement and De Gaulle was a marginal figure in 1940

The one exception to this rule for me - if they're being snobby about their shitty taste or try to 'educate' me anything becomes fair game

I don't think the advice from CNN is shifting blame to individuals necessarily. The fact that corporations are the biggest CO2 emitters doesn't stop individuals from enacting change at their level. And these corporations are mainly run by individuals that do not want to change. There is some truth in being the change you wanna see, as long as you don't then project your moral judgement on everybody else.

Been living in Scotland for 13 years - yes there are places that make shit haggis, or if you buy in supermarkets there are shit brands, like everything else. But once you find the right place, it's like freaking epiphany... there was that sandwich place when I was living in Edinburgh (Scooby's in Morrison Street if you want to know all, doesn't look like much but don't judge a book by its cover) that was making an INSANE haggis roll. I still dream about it 4 years after I left the city

That being said, an untrained border collie is more likely to do damage with a flock of sheep rather than properly herding them...

Wait, minimum wage didn't increase in line with inflation (I'm in the UK, that's what happens- well more or less)? Y'all need some socialism

5.6 weeks is the absolute minimum as per E.U. working time regulations (that Norway probably follows even if not a member state)

The bear was probably weaker than normal as well, as it was really far inland. Probably starving and looking for food

That's told in a book by Paul-Emile Victor, got to read the bit at my grandpa's funeral. Should really find that book now

No, it is on a chair at my parents' house. My grandfather cut a claw from it for each of his grandkids though, so I have that at my parents

But he got 24 stitches on a wound in his back, no anesthesia of course, and brought the bear skin back home... still counts for badass?
