Apple XDR has 1,000 nits fullscreen sustained with FALD, 1,600 nits peak, 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and so on.
Not comparable, the Dell only has 400 nits, 1300:1 contrast ratio, weighs around the double and has an ordinary backlit IPS. 8k res though.
Reference monitors from other manufacturers cost up to 35k $, Apple's reference monitor costs 5k $.
The HP doesn't even come with SSD storage. You can expand on your own you know, right? There are two NVME slots and two SATA on the board.
Have you configured a HP with similar specs yet? The Mac Pro is not overpriced, workstations costs that much. It's not weird.
It's just a part of the things that cost money. Try building a HP Z8 G4 with the same specs as Mac Pro base build. TL;DR 10,506$.
28 cores*
The MB still can handle a 300w CPU. Makes the MB expensive, as it needs to have enough VRM to power 48 cores. The base model is upgradreable
1920x is two years old. They can handle pretty much the same thing, but it's not that cheap and it's old. W-3223 outperforms 1920x.
This screen is not for photo, first hand. This is mostly for movie productions, and HDR productions.
No it doesn't! Are you for real?
ECC ram, 2019 model of Xeon, MB that can handle 2tb ECC ram, power 4 Vega II chips, 300w CPU, 8 PCIe, 64 PCI-lanes,this is for professionals
Did you just compare a 2019 Xeon to Ryzen? 2080ti and Ryzen isn't for pro consumers that Apple aims at with this hardware.
It's the latest Xeon release. They're not cheap, because, you know, Xeon. On top of that, MB with support for 2tb ECC ram and VRM for pro HW
For what it is, yes. The target costumer for this probably won't use the stand, because they use the screen on set, with other mounts.
You're not even the target professional customer for this reference monitor.
Is that some muscular Manny's and regular Michael's, with some turbulent juice?
Oh well. I really need to watch Avatar now.
Is JK in Avatar?
