I took him home, continued loving him but his QOL started declining recently. It wasn't good. I scheduled to put him down next Friday but his actions today said it would be too long. I didn't want him to suffer and I was able to reschedule to tonight.I'll always love you Angelus and I thank you for 17 years of smiles and laughter with your silly antics. I'll miss you greatly. Back in March, during a routine nail trim, while the tech handled him they felt a mass. Did some quick blood draw and tests. Options on the table and none of them good. His age, I wasn't putting him through surgeries to extend his life by a couple months.
Next Wednesday is four years. Crazy how time flies.
