That's the wild shit to me. Religions often basically say "powerful being beyond earth." Scientists basically say "There are SO many other planets in the universe that the likelihood is that we are NOT alone in the universe." We've gotta get better data. Honestly, any society advanced enough to go from even the nearest potential habitable place to here likely wouldn't want to set foot on our soil until our hatred and greed are gone. If THEY were hateful and greedy like us, we'd already be gone.

Well, it looks like in the years since I checked they've changed the method. Presently, I went to google and clicked the initial in the top right. Manage your google account. Left side you see Data & Privacy, click that. Scroll down to "Personalized Ads" area click "my ad center". In that you should see info from your account and "categories used to show you ads" It tells me I'm married, High household income, a homeowner, and that I'm at a "Very large employer". Each of those are wrong.
I've looked at my google ad analytics before. To my recollection, it estimated my age correctly, but believes that I either run or work for a fairly decent sized company, over 100 employees. I'm unemployed. Their estimate is based on my interest in heavy equipment I've never operated, and computer science terms or inventions I've been curious about. I now get regular ads for $100k+ equipment that I'll likely never own, and car parts for vehicles I've never even touched.
Looking at life on earth and just realizing, oops! all fungi!

Why you? Without knowing anything about you, I'd guess they identified you as an easy target that they wouldn't get chastised for attacking. What did you do to deserve it? nothing. "Groups of people go along with it" that's the whole thing right there. People act like shit because others allow it to happen. That's why the "woke mob" attacks the affluent attackers instead of the weak/disabled/poor. EVERYONE must act towards and advocate for the light lest we all descend into darkness.

We're not blind to it, partner. We just see it for what it is. A power play by evil people that is completely inexcusable but that we have 0 power to fight against. I cannot stop the US from sending soldiers and weapons there, I cannot stop other countries from doing the same. I can only hope that people stop fucking killing one another and actually act like grown ass adults instead of petulant children. What do you suggest to fix it? More murder? A coup? Gobs of money?

I quit trucking in 2018. At that point, the majority of drivers passing me had a phone in their hand. Some also had beer cans in the cupholders. People are not trustworthy with dangerous things when unsupervised.
