You get toxic participants in every sport. Go to a site, give it a whirl. Generally speaking, the bad players will get identified by everyone else, and the marshals deal with them. Most players I know and play with are current serving / ex-military like me, which means typically fit / active and decent people.

My diabetic meds are free in the UK. Even if they weren't, I'd only pay about £10 per prescription through the NHS, so about £30 a month?
