What is the purpose for (and rating of) the capacitor you have soldered between the motors?

Partly! Also, generally EM as an energy delivery system is pretty inefficient. A lot is wasted as heat, and a lot isn't properly transferred
A feasible idea! An EM coil could probably work (somewhat), but there are big (and heavy) power related problems there.
Thanks! I am still pretty wary of LiPo batteries too. Thinking of doing something flywheel powered next, which makes them a bit of a must...
