Which party has made any attempt to transform our extractionist, growth at any cost, economy? They’re both horrible for life on this planet. One just looks slightly concerned as they both actively sink the ship.
This admin just granted me tens of millions of dollars to do some climate mitigation work. it’s rearranging deck chairs on the titanic. Glad to help some vulnerable areas slog through a couple more decades, but they will sink into the ocean before the end of the century and I hate it.

Published in top journals over the last 20 years describing the global collapse of ecosystems. Tell me which party has gotten even close to stopping that?? We need something so much better and transformational than our two party oligarchy.

They are both so useless it doesn’t really matter. We’re locked into beyond 1.5C of warming and the west Antarctic ice sheet is doomed. We need something vastly better than either of these corporate parties.

Sorry to report it’s a top university in the world on global climate change. I’m not understanding this cult like deference of democrats. Both parties have been absolutely impotent on climate change. Here we are.

They are both sacks of shit, both completely unwilling to make the huge choices required to deal with this issue.

I have written legislation that has passed under this administration. Try again

There is a Democrat in the White House and many democrats before this one who did nothing about the climate crisis. Problem is capitalism controls our society, not the (useless) party of the president.

And they would be mostly correct. Unfortunately. (I’m a climate scientist who is very angry at our failed librul submit)

If the US stopped supporting Israel with arms and cash, they would run out of resources in three months. The US support is the fire that needs to cease

All of California except the Mojave is a wildfire zone

This is a misunderstanding - most pines in California evolved to withstand low intensity fires by NOT catching fire. The high intensity fires now nuke the pines and they don’t really recover. Lots of research on this, particularly from the Rim Fire in Yosemite

Unions have been losing power since the 70s. Organize, join, fight!

Where is the evidence for any of this?

Plenty of people are plenty racist now. They just know this isn’t an acceptable expression of it anymore.

Hamas’ lead negotiator was widely agreed by the world to be negotiating in good faith, and he was assassinated while attending a presidential swearing in by Israel. He had recently agreed to all the terms on the table as he had many times before. Tell me more about good faith negotiations.

They agreed to every legit ceasefire deal since last November. Many of them. Israel said no to them all. The latest “deal” they were offered isn’t actually a ceasefire, if you read it.

There are no perfect, model ways to resist generations of oppression. It just doesn’t work out that resisters ever do so in a way that is pleasing to the oppressors. Give Palestine full human rights and dignity, and they’ll figure out better leadership. They haven’t been allowed an election in almost 20 years.

The US sends billions of dollars and weapons to fund this war very regularly. $3.5B last week, the day before Israel pulverized a hundred civilians including children at morning prayer with US bombs. This is as much a US war as it is Israel’s. If the US stopped sending cash and bombs it would be over tomorrow

The polls show he’s not doing enough to return hostages AND annihilate Gaza. The vast majority of Israelis think the genocide is going too slowly.

He barely gets over the bar, but it’s nice that he seems to see the role of government is to support societal well being… Sad that counts as ‘progressive’ though
