You don’t need to experience something to know you don’t want to. I don’t need to try meth to know I have no interest in it.
By watching other drunk people, reading about the effects, and knowing statistics about alcohol abuse you can be informed enough to decide.
You are part of the problem. Some people just don’t want to drink, pressuring them to do so anyways is always wrong.
Not always. Adult, personally hate smell/taste of coffee and alcohol.
Halloween is usually sealed candy, not homemade. Office cakes are usually not left laying outside.
Some people just don’t like the taste of any alcohol. Also some people just have no desire to be drunk, regardless of taste.
Me, and at least one other person I’ve met.
Also all of this is easily avoided by not socializing with drunks or anyone who looks down on my not drinking.
I can’t imagine any situation where it would be so important that you NEED to drink and can’t just decline.
You could argue that (in some disciplines) critical thinking is needed for a good GPA
Not everyone drinks.
Unless you’d rather not have yourself or your guests get shitfaced. Which a lot of people would prefer.
Disagree, have been to plenty of good weddings without.
