Can you explain further? This post from NASCAR says "the single nut, it actually is retained in the socket, so they’ll actually use the same single wheel nut for the entire race and likely multiple races," which doesnt sound like single use. this is from the announcement 5 years ago at this point, did something change?

I dont think the "pants" are there at all, they dont move naturally, and ad the end when he adjusts his shirt the bottom of it just moves down and up as if theres nothing there for the bottom to bunch up against.

Switzerland is not socialist. I also don't think this image is really an example of the evils of capitalism, but Switzerland still very much runs off of a capitalist system. It doesn't even really look left compared to many European countries, not even having free healthcare and running with a mandatory private insurance system, for example.

The issue is that many people, as a literal matter of life and death, cannot afford to give up their medical care to take part in a protest.

Why do you? If people stop buying, insurance industry collapses. Then hospitals n such have to charge payable prices if they want business.

You know how expensive it is to cover the costs associated with someone dying in an altercation at work? Figure those get passed down or?

Nope, not sad about protecting goods with insurance rather than human lives.

Fun Fact: Homes in SF were vertical when they were built! What you see here is the result of millions of years of tectonic plates shifting.

After having colon cancer and getting a permanent ostomy, they sewed my dad's shut. So you know of one at least now.

Sometimes... almost... feels a little like they just serve the people funding the politicians' reelections

I didn't say they weren't capitalist structures. But capitalists (the people who actually own companies and such, and have power) hate them.

one happened while we were ourselves going through the great depression, and the last was immediately after losing millions in WW2. (2/2)

#1 Soviets ate better than the US, according to the CIA. Of their three actual famines, one was DURING the war it was formed in, (1/2)

Pretty sure they were asking about the second one, which claimed to be a joke in the screeshot.

Its conservative humour, the joke doesnt go beyond "this sounds like it will upset a lib to say"

The majority literally has to vote to unionize for a union to even form.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Money wont fix this one. We teach about unions. But the US loves capitalists, so we deliberately withhold and mislead and propogandize.

I think this person's takeaway from watching was that the dad was maybe teaching racism by pulling the kid away from touching someone?

The soviet Union was very much not Russia
