4/4 try to hiss or retaliate, but redirect the dog's and/or cat's attention. Over time their scent will mingle and they will get used to 4/5
3/4 When you see that the kitty is curious you can start allowing them more time together. Don't necessarily punish kitty if they 4/4
3/3 they approach the barricade and don't hiss or get upset. Treats for the dog when they approach calmly and don't get too excited.
2/2 scent. Ex: Cat and dog are blocked by a door or gate, but the cat can still smell the dog, and vice versa. Treats for the kitty when 2/3
Real Advice Here: Keep them separate for the first couple of weeks. Sometimes it can be up to a month. Let them get used to each other's 1/2
