If you are actually interested PBS spacetime did a bit on Eric Lentz warp bubble among another new paper like 4 years ago, PBS spacetime - new warp drive possibilities around 10 minutes in.
Aren't you one edgy boy. That paper is a modified alcubierre drive fyi. And its still clashing with the problem of FTL possibly breaking causality and a bunch of other little issues, like requiring all the energy of Jupiter to work. But it is indeed nice progress in theoretical physics of possible engines fixing the tyranny of fuel dilemma. No one would like a FTL engine more then me but have to have a little more skepticism then listening to one pop astrophysicst. Eyes on Avi Loeb.
