I can deadlift 2.5x what I can bench... But bench is easier. Deadlift works way more muscles but your body can handle a lot more weight that way.

My kids see me grinding like hell at a very hard, high demand, high paying job to provide for them and they all want "smaller" lives than me. I have 7 kids (multiple adoptions) and it takes a lot to support them all (just paying for a home big enough for everyone requires a lot). It makes me feel good that they see the death march grind and actively choose a simpler life. None of the tiger parents at work get it.
