In many cases, but not necessarily. They predate Unicode. Emoji is a Japanese word (絵文字) meaning picture (絵) character (文字).

I believe it is short for "Tribadism"

Exactly. The electorate has some small amount of control over who is in the general election.

I'm 6'3" and drive a Mazda Miata. You'd be surprised what you can fit into if you try (although I do hit my head every time I hit a bump)

That may be true, but you can mostly protect yourself from other malware by careful browsing. Advertisement malware can come from anywhere.

like those that delete all your data or steal all the money in your bank account.

Certain businesses could lose a lot if they were infected. It certainly is scary, but probably no more malicious than other types of malware

While some antivirus worked against this particular infection, that isn't always the case. Antivirus is not100% effective.

Different vulnerabilities each time. I can't tell you what is being exploited at the moment, but I can tell you that vulnerabilities exist.

Occasionally someone in this chain of trust will be malicious, and the ad will contain a virus.

By allowing an ad on your site, you are trusting the ad agency you are dealing with, everyone they trust, and every one they trust...

To be entirely honest, crypto-ware doesn't scare me too much (I've got good backups), but it could certainly be scary for some.

Sadly, in some cases you don't even need to click. Blocking ads is necessary to make the internet reasonably safe.

I use adblock for security reasons. Ads are a huge security problem. The ad space is constantly resold, so nobody know who's content it is

At first, I ignored the Cat Tax image, and I thought you were talking about the second last one.

I've got a blockbuster card from the late 90s in my wallet right now. For some reason, it feel wrong to get rid of it.

I've cooked bacon entirely nude several times.

Madoka is great for young children. The magical girl genre was designed for young girls.

The Kodomo no Jikan manga was really great, but the anime stopped really early and wasn't nearly as good.

It's safe for my work, but we're a tech startup with ~25 people and 3 beer kegs (one full size, 2 small).

Thanks.

Thanks. I didn't notice.

Would you mind explaining how this is related to Megadeath? I'm not a fan, but I've listened to them before.

The point being, it doesn't take much alcohol before my judgement is at least slightly impaired. As the night progresses it gets much worse.

The most noticeable and minor example is that every beer makes me much more likely to buy another. I always swear I'll stop after 3 pints...

Although I've never noticed memory gaps, I've definitely been drunk enough to impair my judgement.

I haven't either, but then again, if I forgot what I did, how would I know I did it?

I just started a new job and was given a work laptop with 32 GB of ram. It really is nice.
