If you are reading this, please go yell at me to get off of social media
How is this any different from saying "I'm not a fan of black people," or "I'm not a fan of Jews," or "I'm not a fan of Muslims," or "I'm not a fan of women," or... :/ Would you make one of those statements and then imagine that you're sounding very reasonable and balanced? If not, then why do you think the statement you made here is okay?
in real life, too
Ah, that's how you justify using sock puppets and deleting your own comments to escape criticism... Just tell yourself everyone does it :P
I mean, the people in power *want* to do that, for both selfish and ideological reasons, and no-one stops them, so... Why would they *not*?
(I mean, way more than two. But those two murders were very visible, with huge numbers of witnesses, and the videos were everywhere)
Dude, ICE agents committed two murders in broad daylight, caught on video from multiple angles, not that long ago. Were they arrested?
(And I mean *WEIRDLY*. Like how can none of his insane words and actions, culminating in a new huge war, not have shifted anything?)
Sadly more like 60%, not 75%. His approval rating has been just below 40% for months and months, it's weirdly stable no matter what he does.
Hmm, I don't know, what does @LilMissWheels think about it? :/
I don't think it has? https://removepaywalls.com/https://www.foreignaffairs.com/middle-east/why-iran-will-escalate
Well, nobody in their right mind would pick Menkent
Thinking about how past actions affect the present or future sounds like critical race theory to me! ICE, grab this illegal Marxist liberal!
→It feels like you're placing the burden here on the victims, and trying to downplay what an extreme option this is. :/ It's odd.
I think this is just a weird line of argument. Refugees try to flee. Some don't make it. Some die en route. It's an extreme last resort. →
Not everyone has the option to just flee. And even if they did, new trans kids would keep being born in the US and forced to deal with this.
Did you read the article, tho? Or the rest of the bill? The bill requires all sorts of information to be included that IS usually considered "individually identifiable," and that can indeed be used to narrow down and ultimately identify the patient, despite what the part you quote claims. You probably shouldn't just take the claim in that section of the bill at face value. It's pretty obvious the whole thing is based on some pretty heavy anti-trans ideology, and wasn't written in good faith.
... You don't think it's a problem that the insane con man who is trying his hardest to be a fascist dictator remains popular no matter what insane stuff he does and says? That people cheer him on even as government agents literally murder citizens in broad daylight on camera and get away with it? You think an "inevitable swing back" isn't a problem even if it costs trans people basic rights? This isn't sports teams or ice cream flavour preferences, these "swings" have very real consequences. :/
What are you sayin' here? ... That Republicans use trans people as rage bait for political purposes?..
Like, I get that a few people really will be dumb enough to think that this is how a national leader should sound. And I get that a few more will realise perfectly well that he's dumb and insane, but find him useful for evil or selfish reasons. But, like, nearly forty percent of the population??? Cuz his approval rating is still stable at just a bit under 40%, where it has been for months. How can that MANY people be some combination of incredibly stupid and evil?
I just can't figure out what goes through the mind of any of his supporters when they read these statements. How, HOW can such a depressingly huge share of the population be stupid enough to read or listen to idiotic, childish ramblings like that, and even for a moment think "yes, this is a very serious, competent man and I want him to be my leader!" I want to watch one of his voters read that link, and just shake them by the shoulders, and shout "HOW do you not see how DUMB and INSANE he is?!"
You are correct. But WarmMachineDD7 seems to be of the opinion that because Trump/America in general is bad, therefore Iran must be good. :/
It's a huge problem which wouldn't go away even if Trump dropped dead tomorrow. They're great at propaganda and indoctrination of young men.
(Or, I mean, we *have* been watching that, for like a decade at least. This isn't new at all, obviously. It's just getting more intense.)
Yes, we are indeed watching the far right launch a culture war against innocent minority groups who've done nothing to provoke it. Yup.
"Everything is propaganda anyway, so you might as well trust *my* propaganda."
Very Russian-style propaganda right here. "Everyone lies, everything is propaganda, everyone has done something wrong... so you can't trust any report about any atrocities happening anywhere in the world at all! It could ALL be lies! Maybe Iranians actually love their gentle, peaceful, super fair government! And maybe Ukraine actually attacked Russia! And maybe North Korea is a great place to live, actually! What, you disagree? Why are you buying into evil imperialist propaganda???"
Really? They support LGBT rights, separation of church and state, and Ukraine's right to sovereignty over there? If not, they are my enemy.
Lol, I think the asshole blocked me at this point. Sure, it's all MY fault that we're arguing and wasting time... even though HE started this whole discussion... by making a comment dismissing trans people's rights as a less important concern. Yes, I'm sure if only I and other silly people who care about dumb human rights and stuff just stop holding him back, he'll get a general strike going in no time...
