I'm really glad you're getting help. Al Anon doesn't work for everyone, I felt like it didn't work in my situation but it was my first /1

Parents can become decent ones. Most parents don't set out to harm their kids. A lot just don't know how to do better.

Not necessarily. A lot of good people become lousy parents when they don't have support, don't have skills, and don't have resources.
No visibility. It's an abuser's perfect scenario. I'm glad the Australian govt is giving millions to family violence services right now

This is one reason why schools are still open but optional in Australia. Kids of essential workers, and kids who need safety should have

I know a lot of people who have lost jobs/had their hours reduced because of this. Worries about the economy are valid at this time.
I'd probably pull over, and run out of the car screaming. Then compose myself, and get a stick to coax it out
