Of course Jesus existed. If Jesus indeed was a totally fictional character, no doubt the stories in the bible would be much more coherent.

As long as I live, one of things that I will be most puzzled about is that anyone ever supported that man.

Indeed.

Exactly. Trump doesn't fit the bill. This guy not only does, but he clearly strives to. Stephen Miller too btw.

I know that the Germans didn't elect Hitler as chancellor because that's not how the system worked in the Weimar Republic (and in Germany today btw). But NSDAP did get 43 percent of the votes, which by far made the party the biggest in the Reichts Tag. Hitler did manage to get the Chancellor title through a democratic process - regardless the strategy behind. That's a fact.

Yeah I know - and it's more than alarming. I just objected against the "Americans can't be trusted because they reelected Trump". That most Americans dislike or hate said president version 2.0 isn't irrelevant, when history will judge. Nobody in Europe blamed Spanish people in the 80th for Franco being an asshole 10 years earlier. I hope and thinkt the world doesn't blame the American People Trump going full fascist mode. I don't. (I'm Danish)

That's a fair point. And of course neither Trump and Hitler, the US and the Third Reich is comparable. That being said the nazi party would have won a land slide victory in 1933 in a system comparable to the American electoral system, and Hitler was until 1943 more popular than Trump ever has been. Trump is already unpopular back home, and don't you think it's just getting worse (for him)? But - as mentioned - for sure you have a point.

Right on the first one, not so sure about the last (the fixable for generations thing). The Germans did elect Hitler for instance and it's not in spite of that's but because of that, Germans for generations since has has been one of the least likely Nations to ever do that Again. I believe Americans can learn as well. Most of them at least...

D - @Jeremygabbard - Yep, both bottles on the island look dubious, but the bottle in the last pic from meeting between officials? It's our back then minister of foreign affairs being a cheeky bastard bringing the bottle of Gammel Dansk. It's translated to Old Danish, which makes sense - only old Danish people drinks it. Just to feel more grumpy I guess.

We play the canadians big time there. A good bottle of whisky in exchange for a bottle of Gammel dansk bitter - costs about 20 euros for a bottle, tastes like 5. That being said - and coming from a Dane - that flag should be Greenlands, not the Danish.

"I have experienced tear gas in my eyes and throat once. It was many years ago at a soccer match (a roman derby), where the police were fighting with fans several hundred meters away from me. It stung! I cannot imagine how much pain it causes to be sprayed DIRECTLY in the eyes. The federal agent have to know - what a prick.

The pictured veil is a niqab not a hijab. Quite the difference - and niqab isn't common in Iran btw. Interesting anyway.

Dane here - we know. I don't completely agree with OP. Fully understandably that you probably have other things to worry about at the moment. Stay strong!

Oh Frankie! I've seen her before browsing the front page. Must admit that's a borderline adorable spider. :D

Here in Denmark it's "the truth is to be told from children and drunk people".

Ahhh - playing "Earth" as Russian in civ 1 and just spaming settlers. Those where the day. The original way of breaking the game.

Being Danish I have to politely disagree. Danish bread is the only thing i really miss going abroad. German bread is better than most places, but I'm still not impressed. German (and Austrian) cakes is another story. World class!
