-Insert generic description of myself here-

Oh absolutely. They're rare as shit over here. But my point is that it is a possibility, so the judge can't immediately rule it out. Obviously she was full of bullshit.

To be fair, it is possible to get right-side drive cars in countries that drive on the left side of the road. Benefit of doubt and all that fun jazz. Obviously that's not the case here, but unless you absolutely know what type of car she's in you can't make that assumption just from the side of the car she's on.

Well, he's not actually a professor sooooo... Honestly, the broken watch comments are right about this guy. He was correct about Trump dragging us back into Iran, but most of his stuff is borderline conspiracy theory at best. Also, as another guy pointed out, Reddit usernames have no relevence towards their owner's knowledge or capabilities.

Y'all are getting new jobs? I've been looking since I lost mine back in October and haven't gotten a single interview.

Baba isn't that tricky of a word to translate. It literally means father and is used in much the same context as in English. It can mean father as in your dad, or it can mean father as in our Father in heaven. Literally the same word in both situations. It's also just a stupidly common word for father across most languages. Stems from the fact that "ba" is one of the easiest sounds to make, meaning it's one of the first sounds that babies can reliably reproduce.

Fun fact about that song, Baba Yetu was the first piece of videogame music to ever win a Grammy. Because of that Christopher Tin went on to write Calling All Dawns, a whole song-cycle based on various musical styles from around the world. Then he did it all again when the title theme he wrote for Civ 6, Sogno di Volare won him another one. To Shiver the Sky features songs about mankind's quest to the skies, from our first dreams of flight to our voyage to the stars. The dude is amazing.

You're giving the 3rd one too much credit lol. It was fucking dogshite. The first 2 were definitely great though.

Different languages and dialects come up with their own names for other cultures all the time. Many of them are so commonplace that nobody even realizes they're technically "wrong". Take the Germans for example. They call themselves Deutsch, we call them German, the Italians call them Tedesco, and the Spanish call them Alemán. There's etymological history for why that is, but nobody bats an eyelash at it because it's been that way longer than anyone can remember.

Just making sure I understand the context, are those gas prices high for your area? Because I live in California and I haven't seen gas that low since I was like 10.

You call that a rant? You're the one ranting. You're also the only one irrelevant here.

Human hands cannot come close to applying the same amount of pressure that a CPU cooler clamp does. This is not an accurate representation of the coverage you get when you put the real thing on.

Oh no. Spoilers for a 30 year old book that are absolutely relevant to the topic of this post. Whatever will we do?

You still haven't. The video was made by AI.

#1 God I hate stuff like this. The audio is obviously dubbed over the video, and there are frequent cuts at convenient times so you can't tell by visual if he's actually playing anything worth a damn.

Are national park police members of the United States Secret Service? Because you can very clearly see that their vests say Secret Service, and their patches have USSS on them.

Sure, on an individual basis. Individually, ants are kinda scary for their size, but they are still tiny. They make up for that with sheer numbers, and almost always win the battle against basically any other insects.

7 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Amusingly, the ants are more likely to win the fight if one does happen.

This has lost so many pixels with the number of times it's been reposted and had the music changed.

#11 Unfortunately that is fake. There is no such thing as the Pawgamal in Norse Mythology. There is the Havamal (https://sites.pitt.edu/~dash/havamal.html), which this was clearly taken from and edited. This is stanza 69:
Not reft of all is he who is ill,
for some are blest in their bairns,
some in their kin and some in their wealth,
and some in working well.

Trust me, as someone who does understand what they are talking about very well, they're being incredibly pretentious about it. Someone used a musical term in a way that isn't 100% to the modern classical tradition definition, and they had to "Um Akchtually" it with a needlessly niche and complex musical topic. Considering that the original use of the word "dissonance" was not incorrect in the first place, outside of this one niche interpretation... pretentious is the only word I have for this.

While you have a point, this is a needlessly pretentious way to present it.

I mean, it's disgusting to us, but logically it makes sense. They're not viable eggs because they didn't get stuck inside the mussel, so it's better to eat them and not let the nutrients go to waste.

We're basically watching fish sex. Bitterlings lay their eggs in freshwater mussels. That tube is the female's ovipositor dumping a few eggs into the mussel's gills. The little poot from the second fish is the male blowing his load so that the mussel breathes it in and brings it to the eggs.
