You're creating light though, not reflecting it. Reflecting the light off a red apple would mean creating the light entirely, if you were just reflecting it, there'd be no red apple at all, it'd just be reflected light.
How would this work though, if the glass is an illusion, it's made out of light. How do you manipulate sunlight with more light?
You'd have to be capable of recreating sunlight though, which at that point you could probably just, set people on fire.
I mean, yeah, fair enough, it's not very useful a metric. I won't stand by it as being important, I just thought it was fairly obvious why it's a thing. I guess it may eventually stop being used on ID's at all, it's just entrenched as a traditional form of identifying information.

I'm honestly confused by what you mean. The govt keeps a record of you existing and uses it to identify you, and that includes identifying information like your gender.

You... don't need to be, since you're not working. Even then, that's avoiding your place of work, that's not the same as avoiding the store because you teach in the same town. If you're in a big enough city that a store is close by, then you really don't need to. If you're in a small town, then the next store is too far away to justify that.
