I work a mile from the F-16 plant. They do test flights on Wednesday and fly right over me.
Some working breeds get tails cropped to avoid injuries (although most people don't work their "working" dogs so it's mostly unnecessary) but it can make sense. But ear cropping or any cosmetic alterations is all types of unacceptable.

Oh I'm not saying people don't change, they definitely do for better or for worse. It's just pretty common that people get complacent and stop giving a shit about what people think.
It's more likely that they always felt that way, getting older just made them care less about how it made them look
Biggest problems with it:
1. The mortar is not grooved in one continuous direction.
2. They did not back butter the tiles with mortar to ensure a proper seal.
3. They did not properly set the tiles by moving them back and forth on the mortar to set the bed.
4. There is no proper leveling or spacing being done
5. He's walking on freshly set tiles.
Tile should have 90% contact with the mortar bed. They'd be lucky to have 40% with this technique. They will break soon after install.
