Not in Des Moines currently, but I’m from Iowa and have a ton of friends in DM! I’ll follow on Instagram!

This is a “derecho” which is considered a land hurricane. Super weird phenomenon.

Now I’m nostalgic for something I wasn’t even alive for!

A lot of places still have a thorough adoption process to make sure the animal is going to a caring home. A lot, not all, unfortunately.

Truth. Had a bad trip last year and I cried for two hours straight. Like I just couldn’t stop. Wasn’t sad or scared, just kept crying.

The education portion is probably more like teaching people to recognize the early signs of breast cancer.

If high school was the best time of your life, then you probably peaked at 18.

Everyone at my work still uses IE, when I try to encourage them to use Chrome they look at me like I have two heads.

It’s important to remember that just like not everybody is cut out for college, not everybody is cut out for the trades or the military.

I can’t even explain why, but I have been laughing at this comment for almost 10 minutes.

That’s probably it. Plus, a lot of it is probably written on or gross so it’s considered mutilated too.

Unfortunately, very wrong on the anthropology one...most of my classmates were def not getting laid.

I relate to this so much. Going wedding dress shopping today and dreading it because it’s something where I’m the center of attention.

Lisa Frank, but I wouldn’t say that was a problem at all. Always found personalized things with my name on them as a kid.

As a fellow Iowan: yes. I wish we were exaggerating.

A lot of these things were “old” when I was growing up, but I still remember playing with them or seeing them at my grandparents. Love it!

Had surgery to repair perforated ear drum a few months ago, with insurance: Oxycodone $6, Medicated Ear Drops $180. Healthcare is ridiculous

People are just ridiculous. The thing I didn’t get was what qualifies as a “real job” for a teenager?

Worked at a DQ at 16 and had a woman yell at me to “get a real job” because she didn’t like the flavor of her blizzard.

I love Toys! I’ve never heard anyone else say they’ve even seen it!

That is exactly how I feel! It gives me a sense of peace.

Also on NuvaRing, so I’ll definitely pay more attention going forward!

decide they wanted a dog, adopt one, & then realize it was too much responsibility and the dog would end up back at the shelter. (2/2)

Friend managed a shelter in a college town & students would pop in & our sporadically. Often they’d volunteer once (1/2)

Unpopular opinion: I hate the word “chonk”.

My parents did this every year for undergrad (very small car, needed their help) and those are some of my most cherished memories.
