Agreed, pretty boring, lots of filler, huge amounts of dialogue that goes on for ages and ages. Not very good at all.

He was smart until the books stopped. All he's done since then is sit around, make bad plans and be irrelevant.
Timeline is twisted to accomodate the sex. No way she aged 10 years when others aged 2-3.
It's not GOT anymore, hasn't been for seasons. Expect classical fantasy tropes a plenty.

I liked it from afar. The island itself was a giant, overcrowded, seedy tourist trap. The monastery itself is nice though.
