Once I was an engineer. Got layed off after 25 year. Felt like a crime Was the lowest of times. Spent a lot of time with my wife And those times were the best. But she said surely you jest. I wonder what she meant, Makes me worried about retirement. Started my own business, felt alive But a new business is hard to survive. Even when my family and I cried, The lord did provide. So now I am proud to tell That all is going well. Sometimes you have to hit bottom when you flail, So with faith and family and love, you can prevail.
