I grew up reading Calvin and Hobbes. In third grade I told the teacher my middle name was Hobbes and they called me that for the school year

Yeah. Inlaws had a bday party last weekend, 12+ people from out of town. Another bday dinner last monday 15 people. We didnt go. Heck that.

Plus with limited resources, and not much medical experience, they may just be trying to do the right think and protect others.
I completely get what youre saying. Unfortunately this pandemic has also shown that a lot of people dont get that though.
Maybe you missed that part about limited resources. Maybe the leaders wanted to protect their people first, instead of themselves?
