Ah yes, the dog scouts.
I've done all I can, it didn't come back. New one being ordered.
I soldered the chip back on, reassembled it and it's still dead. I'm going to order a new one now. At least I learned during the process.
I soaked all the parts except the pcb in vinegar, it came out pretty good. I cleaned the pcb with a toothbrush and alcohol, that worked out.
I was thinking about trying 99% alcohol and a soft toothbrush. I saw you can use vinegar, but you have to cancel it with baking soda
A new motor only to find out I could have fixed the old one 2/2
I have a back up car, so this is a project. I like trying new things and learning in the process. I would be more angry spending 100s on 1/2
It was dead anyway, I figured there's no harm in taking a look.
I feel like the people who make the signs wire them in certain patterns so if a part fails, it'll spell something else.
I always wonder what the deleted comments say.
