And they survived with no heat over the winter so the light might have been a bit harsh for it. Might be worth taking it home and put it on

I live in a static caravan and I can relate, I've got heating but the lack of insulation makes for cold buns. Beats paying rent though

Apart from the pest you got some nice looking plants. I had a similar problem with my aubergines this year. Got hit hard with spider mites
Get some treatment chems that are safe to use on edibles. If you want to go green mix a little bit of washing up liquid with water
Looks a bit like black fly plus ants the ants aren't the main problem but like the other guy said they can move them around.
Some one get 20th century fox on the phone, I've found the cast of the live action Top Cat movie!
Depends on the size of the garden. A nice patio is what I normally recommend. Or if your in a hot area of the world sand gardens are cool
