Worked at McDonalds in Germany myself and our registers had to be exact. Any difference would be deducted from your pay. No margin for error allowed but that was a frenchise restaurant and not company so there might be differences there too
You know that they could just put a piece of super cheap plastic over the gap from the outside and attach it to the frame? Door would still function and the gap would be gone. No need for full walls and real doors.
Yeah last time I was in Japan I met with a friend sho lived there and had Japanese citizenship and spoke fluent japanese. They refused entry cause they didn't speak any English and thought we were just tourists. He explained in Japanese and they then refused entry for not looking Japanese. Still a super lovely country I will visit again.
