I wanted to comment saying it's depth perception and not a vision problem bc my vision is better than 20/20 but honestly I'm not sure.

As a guy who is blind in one eye it's not about stationary objects. Its about things moving quickly laterally or towards you... mostly.
I live and drive in America and I'm blind in one eye. I have also never been in an accident in my life.

I know the single worst day of my life. If it gets worse than that I won't make it.
