It sucks and I was there recently too. but look at the silver linings, you get to sleep in and do a little R&R if for a few days at least while you start putting in applications.
Aero, Cortana, teams/Skype. Windows media center, and removed a ton of bloatware, like candy crush. Disabled and deleted forever.
Not in my experience, but I have some IT background so I have a lot of junk turned off that's on by default.
