If you want to strip the seasoning layer off iron or steel cookware, you can soak it in a lye bath for a day or two. Much easier than scrubbing. It will not rust while in the lye bath but it needs to be re-seasoned immediately. Check out some info about lye baths before trying any of this as lye requires a lot of caution to work with. It is typically used to restore cast iron pans.

Electric stove heating coils have been standardized for quite some time and the most common models are still being made. You can also change the sockets to fit standard coils on virtually any electric stove.

My 1950 Fridge is insulated with rock wool. I had to take apart the door once to fix the handle and it was definitely rock wool inside it.

Those can still be easily replaced

Yeah pretty much no one would hear a difference, but they also use different codecs and different effects processing for volume normalization which would likely matter more than just the bitrate. Also, older, more underground or less popular tracks may be encoded in lower quality on either.

Overall spotify is not any better in that regard. Main thing is that you can add anything from youtube in your music playlists (you get the audio only) , giving you access to content you will never get on Spotify, for exemple rare video game soundtracks.

Same. Youtube music is better than Spotify.

Just an anecdote but I know someone whose work van spontaneously caught fire in the middle of the night while in his parking lot. Some sort of electrical fault iirc and It was an ICE. It did not burn as thougrougly as those EV battery fire but the van was beyond repair nonetheless.

Apparantly they can ball up just like rollie pollies when threatened. As they do I like to imagine that a robotic voice in their arthropod mind says "Maximum armor"

Later I used the same exact techinque to quit drinking alcool and it worked just as good.

Here's how I quit cold turkey after a pack a day for ten years. Had tried reducing gradually before but it failed. Then I just quit. Was hard at first but then I found a technique that proved very effective. I conditionned my brain to be disgusted by cigarettes, like Pavlov's dog. Every time I felt like smoking I would imagine myself being sick, dizzy and about to puke or choking on thick acrid smoke. Eventually just thinking about cigs made me gag automatically and the desire to smoke was gone

I recently realized that my "on and off" but persistent right-shoulder/rib cage pain was related to pinched nerve in the neck. Probably due to poor posture over time. Correcting exercices and posture changes so far have been very beneficial. 42 y/o and not doing too bad all things considered.

Tried with mine, just headbutted my finger. Then headbutted all the fingers. Then followed me and climbed on lap.

Looks like some old lath and plaster ceiling. That was up to code once upon a time.

I tried it and it did not work very well for me. After 8 visits and 1000$ I still had patchy beard and it pretty much all grew back the same as before after about a year. Only did my neck area and the reason Is I have skin issues that can make shaving difficult, particularly in that area and I happen to have thick "neck beard" .
