That's fantastic work and crafting! Have you scheduled your next project yet?

You made it so far! The fact that you care about the world you live in tells stories about your character, and good ones in that! Despair is not unusual and not making you less of a person, even if it's justified. But you're much more than that. I don't want to tell you "keep rolling, just accept this place as it is" but: It's a delight you're here, your sorrows are valid and shared, I don't want to tell you what to do, please also keep an eye on your wellbeing. Your actions are progress enough!

Fuck you @Lassannn [obligatory, it's the rule :( ]

Ouh! Thank you for asking!
As another user pointed out, rucola is also arugula in English.
For your question about Cardamon, it's difficult to describe but it provides a tiny bit of that rustic flavor I want with my salad. I also tried it a few times with turkish brewed coffee and there it works wonders. I hope my answer helps you a bit!

I cannot read exactly if that's sarcasm speaking, but if you mean it sincerely and you're ever in center europe, please give me a message and feel youself invited. I'd love to have an excuse for a beef dip sandwich!

Hey friend! No offense taken, and thank you for the questions!
The chips/fries take a bit longer because everything takes a bit longer in that oven. It's from 1994 and I've learned to live with that. That isn't easy, but if I know, I can make something decent for any guest if I know them coming over in time! What would you propose me to try next time? I'd be happy to go beyond!

Second hand would be fine as well. But really, you don't have to make that effort for me, I've accustomed myself to that old stove.

I'd just like to apologize to my vampire friends that my household isn't always welcoming them. They understand that I love garlic just as much as I love them.

Friend, I never took anything you wrote as an offense. It's allright. And thank you so much for understanding! Eating healthily can be a challenge to everyone and I don't want to to propose habits here. I'm just glad if I can make the time, even it might be a bit rustic and homemade. I totally understand your concern, but please don't worry about me, I'm fine as good as I can.

I take that as a beautiful compliment! If you're ever in my area, please let me know and get yourself invited to a treat if you like.

Thank you friend! Would you like some?

Upvote taken, would you like a homemade sandwich or some casserole?

Thank you friend!
I see how they could be better but in the end, they filled the stomach and were really tasty. And I'm just glad about the effort. In the end of a long day that's usually enough and I'm happy if others enjoy that as well!

You touch onto something very important here. Cooking and eating is something that can be very stressful on anyone. In the end it's important we take care of our needs and that's why I'm fine with what I posted here. It should be tasty and fill the stomach. I understand nutritionists, but some people have a hard time just eating and more rules don't make that endeavor easier. I like your compliments. And my little hope is that someone sees this post and says "I can do that for myself!"

I could have done bettter on them, but damn your compliment rolls home. Thank you friend!

If I had one!!

Hey friend, you're right in what you mention. But please know that I'm not only cooking for myself all the time. Half the sandwiches went to my wonderful roommate, and of all the dishes I only eat as much as until I'm full, never beyond that. Most of those meals are breafast lunch and dinner in one, I'm just glad I took the time to make them at all.

We don't eat friends, duh!!

You're right. I'd like that, but money is a bit thight around that issue.

Hey, you're right on that critique. My biggie is more finding time, money and energy at the same time, so when I cook, it's for a day or two or three meals. For example, of the four sandwiches, two went to my roommate and of the casserole it was only a third I ate. I only propose ever eating as much as your body wants than to go over-full. Eating a bit more later is finer than forced eating.

You're right. The oven I work with is from 1994. So a 15min frozen pizza takes 30 minutes at least. For a casserole that take 60 munites I try to give it 120. :)

That's what I tell people so they don't find out I'm working for big wholesome.

Thank you so much, as soon as I find time for it I'll add notes. To be honest, none of it is haute cuisine, it's just me trying to eat well and take care of myself.

To be honest: Not really a recipe, only some general advice if you like. Cook as freshly as your wallet allows you. Some fresh bread from your local bakery beats some Waigyu a few times over every time (nothing against good beef). Apart from that: Cook for yourself as if you were cooking for your most beloved friend. Best case scenario: Your best friend shows up. Second best scenario: Double of a nice meal for yourself. Please treat yourself like your own best friend when it comes to food. Hugs!

I'm neither rich or grown up enough to adopt anyone, but if you like, maybe some convincing would do the job. +1 for the compliment already, you appear to be symphatetic!

I envy you about already enjoying asparagus season. It's a wonderful vegetable and perfect for many dishes one doesn't get to make the rest of the year. It might be a bit hard on the kidneys, but damn it can be so good!

Almost, but this meal, yet hairy, is well behaved

Thank you for your compliment! I don't mean to make anyones life harder with my post but instead I hope it makes people look forward to their next meal and maybe get new ideas to cook for themselves. Some days it's hard to make the effort, but I genuinely hope my attempts at cooking inspire others to take care for themselves as well. I hope you get home and find the energy to treat yourself to a fresh and good meal!

I can't explain either, I'm just glad about cooking mostly fresh with what little I have.
