This is my public profile. I am definitely a human. I am definitely not a bougie trash panda in a trenchcoat waiting to eat the food off your plate while you are in the bathroom. If you do see a trash panda you should send me memes of it so I know what shit people are talking.

I didn't know they did a remake! That's going to the top of the watch list.

That's what I have enjoyed about the indie space for a long time. Sure a lot of the games are much smaller. But small games give developers space to take chances and try new interesting things without having to recoup millions of dollars in investment. AAA studios want to make money, making games supports that goal. Small/indie studios want to make games, and making money supports that goal.

Not trying to be rude here, but from my perspective it seems that the comment is in agreement with the joke. Just worded a little confusing.

That's why regulations, laws, and tax incentives exist. As i said, it's nuanced.

Unfortunately the topic is nuanced, so comments will only get so far. But basically, our goal shouldn't be "to be the best as manufacturing" but rather to have a decent amount of manufacturing. A well functioning economy is diversified to make use of all the various talents of its citizens, and to provide a buffer when global supply chains have a hiccup. Research is important, but so is having the ability to make our own goods so we don't have to rely on global systems working perfectly.

Having gone through the effort (years ago) of building a farm large enough to sustain my family, I can assure you that if you eat food or drink water, you should be very concerned about the climate changing and weather being unpredictable. An week long unpredicted 10degreeF shift in temperature can be the difference of having enough apples to last you 2 years, and barely getting enough for a few pies. A sustained increase of 5degreeF for a season means more than 2x the watering and pest control.

As an adult approaching mid-life crisis age. Over-engineered beyblades sounds like a fun hobby to get in to.

I used to work in a factory and we got a list of orders at the beginning of every week. We would front load them at the beginning of the week in case the machine messed up, but that often meant that by Friday we didn't have much to do besides cleaning and maintenance. My manager would give us a list and say "This list is 8 hours of work. If you finish it in 4, you did 8 hours of work, go watch a movie in the break room if you want"

It seems you downloaded the wrong Balatro

Big tip that helped me learning to draw. Worry a lot less about the lines, and a lot more about the shape of the shadows. Turning the picture upside down and trying to copy it that way is a really good exercise.

Also, context matters. Face front on is a threatening posture, for unfamiliar dogs. Dogs, and humans, that are familiar with each other face front is vulnerable affection. Example, if a stranger at the grocery store grabs my face and starts kissing my forehead I am going to be upset and possibly react physically to make them move away, if my wife or child grabs my face and starts kissing my forehead I am get to be very happy and get the warm fuzzies.

Yea, but the tail wagging and not trying to move away is showing willing submissiveness. The dog may be slightly uncomfortable, but like to the degree of your dad giving you a big bear hug. It's not like it's scared, just slightly uncomfortable and willing to deal with that discomfort because it is enjoying the affection more than it's discomfort.

Somehow both smaller and larger than you think it is. Roughly the size of a square where each side is 3 semi trucks with a single trailer each.

The original said February 14, 2016 if anyone is curious.

It doesn't. But if your thoughts are upsetting you and interfering with how you want to live, you should seek counseling. While your actions are what ultimately matter, taking care of your mental health can make that a lot easier.

Absolutely, and while you're at it start a new email account for bcc'ing those emails, that way if the company ever decides to go after you for corporate espionage they won't have any reason to subpoena your personal email.

Also E-mail. Lot easier tracked, a lot more difficult to lose, a lot harder to fake. And also a whole lot easier to get people to not think about something until you have all the proof you need.

Malicious compliance step by step guide. 1) get them to state in email exactly how someone yelling obscenities should be handled 2) confirm with the principal that this is in fact the policy 3) double check the employee handbook on following said policy 4) sit on it for at least a month 5) pick your moment, since you didn't technically break any rules you will get away with it exactly once Bonus) scout other jobs, using your emails showing toxic workplace as why they won't be used as a reference

I am becoming constantly reminded the new technology doesn't necessarily mean better technology. Sometimes someone lands on the design that is the best it needs to be. Paperclips are fascinating because the gem style paperclip just landed in the perfect sweet spot of cost/ease of production to effectiveness of product. There are better paperclips, they aren't better enough for what it costs to make them.

Rule of thumb for Internet videos, if there is a jump cut or something goes out of frame, immediately question why the effort would be put in to edit it that way.

I figured out how they faked it. If you watch carefully at the beginning at the top of the bag you can see the paper that they folded over the bag. When dry it obscures the painted bag, but once it gets wet it becomes transparent. That's why a lot of the detail looks a bit fuzzy before they take the bag out of frame and remove the paper before cutting and bringing it back in.
