Part of the problem here that's never discussed is that marketing is the true evil in the world when it's driven by capitalism.Marketing is to capture the most capital. The largest demographic at all times with cash is the 18-25 year olds. So marketing gives the world the perception that this is the standard we are all in and aging out of. What would be better is to have a world not selling everything everywhere all the time for the highest gain and instead that tries to provide services.
There is really zero safe long term investment the way the US is asserting itself over the entire world. Any investment in anything other than self if you are anything less than a millionaire is risk right now. There is no stability in any system all over the world. Trump has not just destroyed how democracy in the world works. He's actively destroying the ability of people who disagree to even pursue happiness anywhere in the fucking world. Even those few areas of self right now are risk.

I find it amazing how simple minded people are and weather is such an example. A libertarian friend, obviously a math and science genius, doesn't believe in any climate conditions. He says words like "polar vortex" and "atmospheric rivers" are made up words to make climate change more scary. Because water can't float they think. Water can't exist in the sky. Not understanding of a jet stream. No understanding of condensation and evaporation not needing land. Told me it can't snow in Vegas.
Yeah and some people are just software engineers that like to make good products. Some people see technology and understand it solves problems. Some people see an entire labor force that should t have to be there when it can be automated. A lot of people other than the rich fucks at the top see a pathway to us all having better lives.
