Hi, do you know what all these dates stamped on the plate with the serial number are? Are they just a list of patent dates? I know nothing about these but I love these posts and it's fascinating to see a whole ecosystem of people around preserving these. They're beautiful pieces of machinery.
I think Fig is my fav so far. But you art is awesome and I love them all!

Happy whenever I remember I have good capacities to understand a lot of science things and a natural curiosity that can juggle multiple complex subjects that interest me. Painfully aware every time that my understanding is surface level and that I become completely lost as soon as it comes to actually look into the hard science behind.

I think the zeitgeist just hyped it to be more than what it is, which is why so many people think it's a must read. I too was told it was this incredible strategic philosophy book that could be applied to most of modern life and lots of jobs. But it really isn't. Not if you're not a moron. But it still gets recommended as such. If you already know that you should have a plan to have better chance at accomplishing something, there's better stuff to read

I'm honestly at a loss about how they can be this removed from understanding a simple concept of "imave from elsewhere". because it's not about understandinhg the meme format or anything, they're so lost they keep thinking they're being "accused" of taking a picture of a purple man for no reason. Are they this much confused when someone shows them a book with picture or a tv show? I would wager not. So why is it that foreign of a concept when it's on a phone or computer screen?
