I was lucky enough to actually find work, so i've been giving 500 dollars of every paycheck just to eliminate that while i can. Down to 5k!!
My 3-year college course came to about 12k, however, due to the pandemic the government actually extended the interest free period till 2023
Canadian here too, my middle and I think high schools provided breakfasts before class started, had cereals most days and pancakes sometimes
