It isn't good enough to just support the status quo, "middle ground" republicans and most democrats utilize people like Trump as a boogeyman to point at as a "see, we're the good guys and these are clearly bad guys" while never actually working to undo any of the damage that their scapegoats cause because solving the problem would move people towards a more progressive mindset of solving other problems, leading towards a shift in US politics from the right towards the left.

and then trying to pass laws to keep themselves from being kicked out of businesses 2

Oh, yeah, I don't think that was a point anyone was trying to make. We're just calling them hypocrites for going after a protected class 1/

but also wanting to be protected from *actual* legal business moves like being banned from a/all platform(s)3/

They're calling republicans hypocritical for wanting to deny service for a protected class 2/

Re-reading this again it seems like you are misunderstanding what the comment before you meant 1/

Which is.. what this whole thing is about. I think you're looking at this in reverse.

Yes, and politicians are not a protected class. A state cannot ban platforms from "deplatforming" politicians.

It does from that angle, yeah. She has a few other pictures with the same look that makes it look less PS-y

to clarify, I mean pan is interest in all genders *including* trans & non-binary & all orientations, not that it's just them

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

and pan is without preferences, whereas bi may have a preference

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pan covers sexual interest in trans & non-binary people & all orientations. Bi is more or less interest in the binary genders

It is exactly the same situation with the parties reversed.

No it isn't. This is a violation of the first amendment rights for these companies (who are protected), and a violation of sc230.

Gen Z maybe, the youngest Millennials are already in their mid-20s.

2013 would be the year I'd rather relive forever, college was when I was most responsible, healthy, and enjoying life.

Because she's talking directly to minorities/LGBT in this message, it isn't genuine. She's justifying her own attitude.

(which at least some measurable amount of republcians are clearly, actively, trying to plan for)

(as in democrats aren't doing enough to resolve the issues that caused jan 6th, nor are they trying to prevent another one)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cut and dry: Democrats are trying to be politically soft, Republicans just don't give a shit anymore and keep doing what they have been.

You can be a traitor and not commit treason, you do know that, right? It's a broad word, it doesn't just mean someone who commits treason.

tl;dr: the USA started out exactly like that, it didn't work, we were weaker, we became stronger together and have been since.

I didn't know about that! Yeah, probably didn't help, potentially could have let them see the iceberg early enough to prevent a collision.

He wore it for PR.

It was impossible for them to turn fast enough to avoid it by the time they had seen it. An iceberg is 90% submerged.

The legislature tried to impeach him to bar him from future election bids, so sadly probably not.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That is actually literally what the vote was for. Impeachment trials are trials where an elected official are tried for removal from office.
