She’s very much in charge here. Everything she is doing has a purpose and the orchestra is following her interpretation.
Style and interpretation. You can see at the end of the video she gives a technique instruction to the strings without stopping the group.
Pro orchestra conductor here. In rehearsals like this, the orch has this music mastered well ahead of time. They’re watching her for 1/2
