Carefully, respectfully and honestly. I’m not the photographer but the designer but photojournalists Louise and Sara have dedicated close to 10years so far to visiting these remote houses, building trust. Pictures never happen on the first visit, often much later and some times never.

I feel the same, it’s such a complex topic, interwoven with basically every aspect of society - money, power structures, culture.. and people often want to simplify, gloss over and look way from unpleasant facts. It’s a parallel world to that most people know and I love that this book tries to be a window, an honest invitation to see and begin to understand.
Carl-Einar was an early crush of mine 🥰 I’d be impressed by that move.
I love that video. These people are aspirational.
If they touch too many toxic chemicals they might become dead friends.
There is a Human Library space too tho (with limited opening hours) around the corner from my house in Nørre Allé :)
