One time I forgot I had my pocket knife on me. I just put it in the dish with my keys and wallet. Figured if they see it they will take it, or if I tell them they will take it. It went through and I put it back in my pocket for the flight.

I'm guessing it has something to do with the salt content in Tapatio's vs vinegar alone since salt+vinegar=hydrochloric acid.
