I grew up loving Predator, Terminator, Rambo etc. Unapologetically full-bore action movies that were sincere and made with passion, even if they were dumb. Fast is that, and it deserves to live.

Records broken and all that. Top 10 even would all be trans. Because it'd be all the time, every sport, every advantage. But they don't, so I don't think it does.

Something I've started doing the last couple of years, if I DO go 'above and beyond', is point it out to a higher-up with a "what will I get for that?" angle. Have had a raise and a promotion since. Depends on your company, but you may want to develop the confidence to make sure they notice.
My Nan died last year. I am absolutely certain my Grandad is still, now, considering ending it. Mad part is I don't think I'd blame him. He's so lost without her.
