Looks like a good day to me
I’ve always wondered about this song. Does it give any explanation as to WHY or HOW Johnny was able to beat the devil? Listening to the duel, it’s not obvious to me that Johnny’s fiddle playing was that much better than the devil’s (band and all). I always thought that there must be an explanation, like Johnny’s song was some kind of excorcism tune - but that isn’t really spelled out in the lyrics, is it?
