We drive over to NOLA a couple of times a year since forever. So the first morning we walked down Conti onto Bourbon after IV Waist had cleaned, WOW! Disney should try to keep their place as clean and fresh.

Yea, agree with another poster, probably edited voice traffic sequence.
To clarify what I meant; what we were taught in low altitude flight emergency, say under 1,000 AGL like this appears to be was declare your May Day/squawk 7700 then Aviate, fly the plane. As one instructor put it, ‘You don’t have to tell them your degree of f#&ked They’ll figure it out’.

Stop talking and land the plane. Aviate, Navigate, Communicate.

OK, I’ll admit I’m old but remember driving through backroads of rural central Georgia in the ‘60’s and my dad, a history teacher pointing out the remaining “Sherman toothpicks”, chimneys left from the scorch earth campaign. It was a narrow path but still traceable 100 years later.

Well, don’t know the inner workings of Big Brother. But I’ll take it.

What, bumfuck! I have you know, Plains, Georgia is clearly further up the digestive track than bumfuck Georgia where I grew up. But yea, the Carter family were great people.

Martin Luther King Jr assignation… then soon after, staying up to watch the Apollo moon landing. A dichotomy that escalated me at the time.

My sweet high school ride, the ‘El Camino Lounge and Traveling Disco’. Paint it bronze and add two pool lounges strapped in the back ;)

Drove a rusty International Scout during the early’80s in Atlanta. Even taxis heeded the dominance of no f*cks given.

Don’t tell me this was 53 years ago…!! We use to canoe the Chattooga river down through Bull Sluice before the river as diverted. Never died once!

That sounds like the old Days Inn near Georgia Tech in Atlanta.

Late 60’s here. Just spent 4 days/nights camping out at a motorcycle rally. Yea, a bit of a dissociative fugue state on third morning. But nothing like the restorative powers of Sexton Whiskey in the morning to snap the old psyche back into singularity!

Dear Mrs. Black: On seven prior occasions this company has denied your claim in writing. We now deny it for the eighth and final time. You must be stupid, stupid stupid, stupid!

My first car was a 1963 Chrysler Newport. Push button gears and all. All the buttons glowed green from an etched plastic rod that ran to a single light bulb in the dash.

Having grown up in the rural county, these large Quonset warehouses were our carnival slides. Alive to tell the tale!

My father served on n LSM in WW2. Always commented the US Marines and typhoons were more likely to sink the boat than the Japanese

Enjoyed my time hanging around, especially the cool breeze at 300 feet on a hot and humid sub-tropical day waiting on the ground crew.

At least in the States, pizza delivery has a far, far higher occupational fatality and injury rate compared to law enforcement. So be sure to thank your pizza deliveries for their service to our country!

Have provided services in the IDD nonprofit sector for nearly forty years. So yes, even many organizations corporate names included retarded as the accepted term. But most societies move forward. And hopefully our understanding of everyone in our world.

That’s how I learned to swim. Mother was a college synchronized swimmer and low board diver in LA in the ‘50’s. She tossed me in the ocean just as I learned to walk. Became lifeguard at 16, a WSI at 18, only because state wouldn’t license until then.
